Marketing pages load faster with no loading-skeleton flash, plus fixes for a stuck tile preview, broken guide images, static-page scripts, and accidental unsubscribes.
ImprovedHomepage and other marketing pages now load faster and no longer flash a loading skeleton before content appears
FixedFixed the tile size preview sometimes getting stuck showing an old value after quickly typing a new size and tapping away, especially on mobile
FixedFixed hero images on guide pages showing a broken-image icon instead of loading
FixedFixed a bug that could prevent some scripts from running correctly on guide and other marketing pages
FixedFixed unsubscribe links so simply opening one (e.g. from an email preview) no longer unsubscribes you without confirming

Smarter Waste Comparison
Layout comparison now measures true material waste from offcut area and recommends the pattern that wastes the least.
NewLayout comparison now shows a true waste % based on actual offcut area (not just cut count), with a badge on the lowest-waste layout — on screen and in the PDF export
NewA new banner in layout comparison recommends the pattern with the lowest waste, so you don't have to compare the numbers yourself

Multi-Room Projects, Metric Defaults & Mobile Improvements
Save and share projects spanning multiple rooms, automatic metric defaults for non-US visitors, a Total cuts metric in layout comparisons, and a bundle of mobile and unit-conversion fixes.
NewMulti-room projects — the calculator switches to multi-room mode when you open a project with two or more rooms, with a sticky top bar to name your project and tabs to switch between rooms
NewSave & Share for multi-room projects — name your project, save it to your account, and copy a shareable link all from a single dialog
NewShared project links (…/calculator?p=…) now load the full multi-room project automatically when opened
NewWhen you open a layout owned by someone else, a banner makes that clear — saving creates your own copy instead of overwriting the original
NewThe calculator now defaults to metric units on first visit if your browser is set to a non-US locale — no more manually switching from inches
NewTile size recommendations now show metric-native presets (e.g. 300×300 mm, 600×600 mm) when you're working in metric
NewLayout comparison now shows a Total cuts count for each saved layout, with a badge on whichever requires the fewest cuts
NewNew on mobile: a floating 'View results ↓' pill appears when your results are below the fold — tap it to jump straight there
NewAfter saving a layout, the confirmation now includes a Share button so you can share without hunting for the option
ImprovedThe /roadmap page is now a read-only view showing In Progress, Coming Next, and Later status labels for planned features
ImprovedThe layout comparison PDF now includes a Total cuts row, matching what's shown on screen
ImprovedThe save dialog now pre-fills with whatever project name you've already typed in the top bar
ImprovedOn phones, dimension inputs now appear near the top of the page rather than loading below the fold
ImprovedDimension inputs on mobile now open the number pad instead of the full keyboard
ImprovedThe boxes-to-buy count on the results card animates in when results appear (respects reduced-motion settings)
FixedFixed the cut list showing wrong tile counts and dimensions when room and tile measurements were in different units
FixedFixed drain cutout dimensions in the cut list showing incorrect values when area and tile units differed
FixedFixed incorrect Total cuts counts in the layout comparison when tile and room units were mixed
FixedFixed a crash when adding a second room in multi-room mode
FixedFixed the project top bar overlapping the site navigation in multi-room mode
v1.15.1June 22, 2026
Optimizer Stability Fix
Fixed a freeze when the tile layout optimizer encountered an error.
FixedTile layout optimization now recovers immediately if the optimizer crashes — no more 30-second freeze before the calculator becomes responsive again
